Carlos Duran
Candidate for IID Division 1
Unleash the Valley’s Power
Jobs. Growth. Accountability.
Delivering reliable energy, economic growth, and accountability for our community.
About Carlos Duran
I was born and raised in the Coachella Valley and now live and work in the Imperial Valley. As a local journalist, I’ve covered city council meetings, public policy, and government decisions, giving me a firsthand understanding of how our institutions operate.
Through my work, I’ve reviewed public records, asked tough questions, and listened closely to the concerns of our community. I’ve seen where transparency is lacking and where the public is too often left out of the process.
I’m running for IID Division 1 to bring accountability, transparency, and a straightforward approach to serving the people of Imperial Valley.
Priorities for Imperial Valley
Jobs
Imperial Valley should benefit from its own resources. I support responsible projects that create good-paying local jobs and expand opportunities for our workforce.
Growth
We need smart, sustainable growth that strengthens our economy without overburdening our infrastructure. That means supporting development that brings long-term value to our communities.
Accountability
IID must be transparent and accountable to the public. I will push for open decision-making, clear communication, and responsible management of public resources.
Ratepayers Come First
Every decision at IID should put ratepayers first. I will work to ensure fair rates, responsible spending, and reliable service for the people who depend on it every day.
